The purpose of this website is to provide Bible study material and commentary to encourage, equip, and challenge Christians in their journey with Jesus. Accordingly, for this ministry, we consciously aspire to be guided by the following tenets:

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” ~ 2 Timothy 3:16

“Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” ~ 2 Peter 1:20-21

You can also find us on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.  Please pray that God will use this ministry to glorify Himself, to strengthen the brethren and to convert the unsaved.

“…Behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I [Jesus] have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.” ~ Luke 22:31a-32

    Good day!

I would like to ask for permission to use one of the pictures posted in your site, seedling-1.jpg (https://reflectionsintheword.files.wordpress.com/2010/03/seedling-1.jpg)(10 Megapixel picture) as our cover background for our newsletter. As a new rooted organization we want to symbolize it with a seedling. That’s why we want to ask for permission for us to use the said picture. We hope for your positive reply. Thanks and God bless.

    • Hi Nancy,

Thanks for granting permission. Your poems are really beautiful as is your writing (polished and sophisticated). The post with An Awareness of God & Learning to Live (if that’s okay…) is almost ready (just need to add some pics and a bit of formatting). Plan to post them on Thursday, 11/25/2010. Will add links to your blog page & your profile page. Also added your blog to the Blogroll.

When you have some time, check out Blog Frog you might find it interesting and useful for promoting your blog.

Finally, please keep us in your prayers.

      God Bless!!!

  2. Dear minds and hearts behind Reflections,
I also came across your site by following an image the permission for whose use I wanted to ask you — it’s the Open Door in the post on Nehemiah. Then I discovered that I very much liked the post itself (I appreciate the connection between salvation and enlightenment) and then, your whole site. It’s rich in material and spirit and very rich in love. Thank you, I’ll be coming back.
My site is mainly a blog devoted to theology, mysticism and a person journey of conversion from atheism to Christianity, but it also features some fiction, some poetry, and short daily reflections. URL http://onmounthoreb.com.

    • Hi Maria Catherine,

Thanks so much for stopping by RitW, and thanks even more for your words of encouragement.

Almost ALL pictures on the RitW site were obtained from free image sites (sxc.hu, photoxpress.com, creationswap.com), so please feel free to use any pictures that you find here.

Your journey from “atheism to Christianity” is quite intriguing and i’ll be visiting your blog to get to know more of your story. May God keep you safely on the narrow way of salvation.

      God Bless!!!

  3. Indeed, I have just discovered sxc.hu because of you — so thanks for that, too. 🙂 I am now subscribed to your blog, and I look forward to seeing you on my Mount Horeb.

    • Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing, Gracie. Please help yourself to anything you find here: freely received, freely given. 🙂

Great to see you’ve taken on a study of Ezekiel: that’s a tough book!

May God guide you in your study and continue to use your ministry to encourage and inspire others.

      Take care!

      God Bless!

  5. It is my intent to always allow the original poem to be shared freely. Lately many people have begun to make products featuring the altered version of my poem and then selling the altered version for profit. This has caused a legal issue for me. If I don’t defend my copyright I will lose all rights to the words. I hope you understand. Please visit my website and take the original words or visit me on FB and take an image that you like. • I understand completely. Your poem is beautiful and should be preserved in the way you wrote it. Hope you will be inspired to write more great poems. All the best to you.

      God Bless!!! 🙂

  10. Sorry to post three times. Trouble logging in—those darn cookies! But thanks for the quick reply, permission to use the images, and triple confirmation! Bless you!

    • Hi April,

You are most welcome. And no need to apologize, it happens from time to time.

Praying God will bless and work through your blog mightily to His honour and glory.

      Keep in touch!

Hi again, this is Amanda, the former owner of bethoumyvision.wordpress.com. 😉 After much searching and contacting WordPress, I was able to remove myself as admin on Be Thou My Vision and it is now fully yours and ready to be filled with all God leads you to share! I am still following that blog and Reflections in the Word as well now, as it looks like you have some great posts from the Word here. Thank you for all you do for God’s Kingdom in the name of Jesus. Again my apologies for taking so long to get back to you in this.

May God bless you and your family above all you can ask or imagine,

    • Hi Amanda,

Thank you so much. I am sorry, though, that you had to go through so much trouble.

By God’s grace and mercy, I hope He will continue to use bethoumyvision.wordpress.com for His purpose and glory.

      Please keep in touch.

      God Bless!!! 🙂

  12. It is strange, in the article I just liked I came to read you believed the Scriptures and remembered your readers they should follow it. Though here I read you follow not one God like every lover of God should do, but worship three persons, namely: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, an abomination in the eyes of the One True God

    • Hi Immanuel,

Thanks for stopping by and for sharing your thoughts.

Regarding the doctrine of the Trinity, it seems we will have to agree to disagree at this point on time. We can, however, pray for each other: that we will both grow in understanding of Biblical truth.

      God bless you, my friend.

    • Shalom,

I do hope more people, including many Christians, shall come to see that Jesus is the sent one from God and the way to God, and that he is a son of man and son of God who gave his life for all and really died as a ransom for all sins.

That the Most High Elohim may bless you too and give us all the necessary insight and power to be work-tools in His Hands.
